The Masonic Constitution to which our lodge belongs continues the traditions once known as the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany. In recognition of its diverse membership, it is now simply known as … Freemasonry in Germany — a home for brethren from many nations who share the principles and practices of the English and Scottish Craft.
Our ritual and regalia follow the patterns established under the United Grand Lodge of England and, in some lodges such as Thistle and Saltire in Osnabrück, those of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. Whether worked in English or in German, the Emulation Ritual embodies the same values of integrity, friendship and moral discipline that have guided Freemasonry for more than three centuries.
British in tradition, international in fellowship – this spirit continues to shape our work and our understanding of what it means to be a Freemason today.
